Coffee on the Porch ... Building Community One Porch at a Time

Coffee on the Porch is a free community gathering held on the last Friday of the month from 8 to 10 AM on front porches throughout Mid City Baton Rouge. The premise is to connect the diverse places and people that are part of Mid City - to find common ground and to celebrate our differences. We see porches as forums for building community. They are places where we meet our neighbors, share stories, and learn about one another. There are no requirements besides being yourself and the coffee is always free! The event also serves as a platform to support and connect local organizations and businesses. Each gathering comes together through a broad collaboration of organizations, individuals, and businesses. Contact us at if you are interested in participating or sponsoring Coffee on the Porch!

This year, Mid City Studio is also starting a mapping project to highlight issues and celebrate all the beauty in our city! Each location for Coffee on the Porch will have a corresponding topic and map to teach us all something new about Mid City!
